Car fire in Weston claims driver’s life – NBC 6 South Florida

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a driver was found dead in a burning car in Broward County Sunday morning.

BSO officers and firefighters found the damaged car engulfed in flames near Bonaventure Road and State Road 84 in Weston around 3:30 a.m.

Cameras captured smoke rising from what looked like the wreckage of a Tesla.

According to investigators, the car was initially involved in a single-vehicle accident.

When emergency services extinguished the flames, they found the driver’s body inside.

The cause of the fire has not yet been announced. The BSO’s traffic and homicide squad is investigating the case.
