91 Freeway closed due to SWAT standoff in Anaheim Hills – NBC Los Angeles

Freeway 91 was closed in Orange County on Friday morning due to a special operations unit operation, causing traffic jams stretching for miles in both directions.

Details about what led to the standoff in the Anaheim Hills area were not immediately available. The highway was closed on both sides of Imperial Highway and Lakeview Avenue.

Armored SWAT vehicles arrived at the scene of the accident. There was a blue sedan parked on the road. The car was wedged between the two armored police vehicles.

Drivers and passengers got out of their cars, which had stopped behind about a dozen police vehicles.
