Traffic accident forces closure of Autobahn 57 in Brussels

On Monday afternoon there was an accident involving two vehicles on State Road 57 in Brussels, which closed the road to northbound traffic. At approximately 1:00 p.m., multiple officers from the Door County Sheriff’s Department and the Brussels Union Gardner Fire Department responded to the scene of the accident at the intersection of State Highway 57 and County Road H. Detours have been put in place from the northbound lane of Highway 57 to allow for cleaning of the roadway and emergency vehicles on scene. The southbound lane of Highway 57 remained open to traffic.
