Criminal charges in OLCC investigation “not justified” | News

The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Justice Division (CJ) and supervised by CJ Chief Counsel Michael Slauson.

CJ investigators reviewed more than 10,000 OLCC internal documents, reports and emails and interviewed more than 40 people, including OLCC employees, former employees, employee employees, OLCC officers, liquor store agents and employees, liquor industry personnel, legislators and Citizens who reported complaints. Special agents also obtained and analyzed records from OLCC and non-OLCC sources, including liquor stores, liquor dealers and financial institutions.

Gov. Tina Kotek called for an investigation last year after learning of her behavior. Kotek issued a statement on May 13 thanking the attorney general and staff who she said worked diligently on the investigation.
