CrowdStrike computer outage delays efforts to restore water to Atlanta high-rises – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Some tenants in an Atlanta apartment building are dealing with a water outage that has lasted more than a week and they don’t know when it will be restored.

Generation Atlanta Apartments management said the CrowdStrike computer outage that impacted air travel is slowing efforts to resolve the problem.

“We’re just tired,” said one tenant who wished to remain anonymous.

She said she was tired of turning on the tap and not a drop of water coming out.

“We want our water to be available because God knows we pay too much for rent,” she said. Channel 2’s Tom Jones.

Tenants on the upper floors of the Centennial Olympic Park Drive apartments in northwest Atlanta said they have been without water for about a week.

“I’m talking about the fact that you can’t even wash your hands. You can’t even take a bath. You can’t even wash yourself,” said tenant Arthur Smith.

Some tenants on lower floors say their water barely comes out.

Jones speaks to other frustrated tenants and building management representatives about the predicament on Channel 2 Action News at 5 p.m.
