Unknown attackers have killed five forest rangers and seven soldiers in a national park in northern Benin, the conservation group African Parks said on Saturday.

The attack took place on the night of Thursday to Friday, the group said in a statement. The Benin army has not yet responded to AFP’s request for comment.
