Irma Bradshaw, 63, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, according to a news release from the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 23, authorities responded to an attack in the 31,000 block of Juarez Road.

At the scene, officers spoke with the victim, who reported that his girlfriend, later identified as Bradshaw, showed up at his home uninvited, entered his house without his consent, and demanded payment of $100 that was owed to her.

According to the press release, Bradshaw became angry and began destroying his kitchen appliances, breaking off part of his refrigerator and damaging the top of the kitchen stove.

In addition, she grabbed a molcajete and tried to hit the victim on the head with it, but he defended himself by blocking the blow with his left hand.

The press release also states that Bradshaw grabbed the car keys and began stabbing her boyfriend in the forehead with them.

“The victim did not wish to press charges against Irma for assault or property damage, however, deputies arrested her to protect the victim from further domestic violence,” the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office said.

Bradshaw was taken to the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center to await arraignment.
