ELM CREEK — After moving through the Sandhills and north-central Nebraska, a severe thunderstorm moved through eastern Dawson and western Buffalo counties, becoming more dominant in outflow.

A dominant outflow storm is a storm whose downdraft has overtaken the updraft, this usually occurs later in its life as the storm begins to weaken, but it can still pose a risk of damaging hail and straight-line winds.
