Jammu and Kashmir: Two dead, 25 injured as bus plunges into gorge in Doda

Two people were killed and 25 injured when a bus skidded off the road and plunged into a 60-meter-deep ravine in Jammu and Kashmir’s hilly Doda district on Saturday, officials said.

The accident occurred around 10:25 am near Bhatyas when the private minibus was on its way from Bhalessa to Thathri, officials said.

They said one woman was found dead by emergency responders at the scene, while another succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

The nine other injured, whose condition was described as serious, were being treated at the Government Medical College in Doda, officials said.
