1 dead after fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 527

BOTHELL – A Mill Creek motorcyclist died Wednesday evening when he collided with a car turning onto Highway 527, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Around 7 p.m., a Bothell woman was driving east on 192nd Street southeast north of Bothell in a red Nissan Versa. According to state police, the 24-year-old driver was preparing to turn onto Highway 527 northbound.

A motorcyclist was riding a Yamaha YZF-R1 southbound on Highway 527, troopers said. As the Nissan turned onto the highway, the motorcyclist crashed into the driver’s side of the Nissan.

The 41-year-old motorcyclist, later identified as Ronald Lozada, was ejected. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he later died.

Authorities determined the Versa driver was not impaired by drugs or alcohol. Investigators were still investigating the cause of the crash on Thursday.
