Kaylon Adams was wanted for murder in Youngstown, Ohio and arrested in Atlanta, Georgia

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – U.S. Marshals arrested a man wanted in connection with a murder in Youngstown on Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kaylon Adams, 32, was wanted on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated assault, improperly discharging a firearm into a habilitation and possessing a weapon while under disability.


On November 19, 2023, officers went to Zents Avenue and found the body of 29-year-old Christian Allan Oliver in the middle of the street. According to police, he was shot several times. According to a press release from the U.S. Marshals, Adams was later determined to have been involved in this deadly incident and warrants were issued for his arrest.

A 73-year-old woman, an innocent bystander, was also shot in the stomach and required treatment at a local hospital for her injuries.

“This violent fugitive attempted to evade arrest by fleeing hundreds of miles from Youngstown, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia, but the combined efforts of our task force and our state and local partners in Mahoning County resulted in the arrest.” said US Marshal Pete Elliott.

Adams was arrested near an Atlanta home where three guns were also located, according to marshals. He was being held in the Fulton County Jail while he awaits extradition to the area.
