Person in wheelchair hit and killed by semi-trailer on Arden Arcade Street

ARDEN ARCADE – A woman has died after being struck by a semi-truck on a busy north Sacramento road Friday.

The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Alta Arden Expressway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman was apparently attempting to cross the crosswalk when a semi-truck turned right onto Fulton Avenue. She was struck, officials say.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP said. Her name was not released.

Officers remained on site throughout the morning to conduct their investigation.
