North-easterly winds are bringing pleasant air to the region today. With a mix of sun and clouds and lower humidity, temperatures will reach 27 to 30 degrees in the afternoon.

Unlike the last few weeks, the humidity will be lower and it will be a great day to go outside and do any work in the garden or around the house.

The heat returns towards the end of the week

The brief respite from heat and humidity will end on the Fourth of July and into the weekend. In fact, we’re already pointing to Friday through Sunday as heat will be widespread above 105°.

Although humidity will increase on the Fourth of July, the forecast remains dry for all outdoor activities! If you’re planning on heading to the beach for Salute from the Shore, prepare for some warm weather!

Highs on Thursday will be above 30 degrees on the beach and below 35 degrees inland. Humidity will feel like 38 degrees in most places in the afternoon.

The highest humidity and heat will be Friday and into the coming weekend. A heat advisory is likely and an excessive heat warning cannot be ruled out as heat index values ​​are likely to rise to or above 110° on some Fridays and Saturdays.

Unfortunately, the chances of rain are slim due to increasing humidity. We will expect a few isolated showers and thunderstorms, but no significant rain is expected and the ongoing drought is likely to worsen.
