Jasper Police respond to two accidents on Highway 190 West | Local News

Just after 8 a.m. Friday morning, Jasper Police had their hands full as two separate accidents caused minor traffic delays on Highway 190 West.

The first accident occurred in front of Lowe’s when a newer model Hyundai and a Jeep were involved in an accident west of the intersection of Lowes and Wal Mart. The second accident involved a logging truck and a sedan that ended up in front of Son Asian Bistro. It is unclear if the two accidents are related in any way.

In the first crash, both vehicles landed in the grass between the eastbound and westbound lanes. A woman wearing a neck brace walked to a nearby ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. In the second crash, both vehicles were able to pull onto the shoulder of the road and the driver of the car, who was struck by the log truck in the rear of the vehicle, boarded an ambulance to be evaluated by paramedics.
