2 dead in northwest Atlanta, police search for shooter

At least two men are dead after a double murder in northwest Atlanta last night.

Officials said two men were shot when a white sedan stopped on Old Gordon Road shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.

The suspected shooter then drove away and, according to police, could currently be in the Mableton area.

Police believe the shooting was the result of an ongoing conflict with the suspect or another group.

Channel 2 Action News has contacted Cobb County Police to see if they will assist in the search.
