Single person killed after police-involved shooting in Chandler neighborhood

CHANDLER, AZ – One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting near McClintock Drive and Chandler Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, officers were called to the area for a domestic disturbance call around 1:30 p.m.

It is not known what led to the shooting, but police confirmed one person was dead following the shooting.

No officers were injured in the incident.

Officials say Los Feliz Drive will be closed from Tyson Street to Carla Vista Drive for an “extended period.”

No further information is currently available.

This is the second officer-involved shooting in the Valley this week and the 24th overall this year. An armed shoplifting suspect was shot and killed by police near 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Street late Tuesday night.
