Arrest warrant issued for suspect in connection with triple stabbing in Cass County – Leader Publications

SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has obtained an arrest warrant for a man wanted for his involvement in the triple stabbing that occurred last night in Silver Creek Township.

An arrest warrant was issued for 28-year-old John Henry Coons of the Dowagiac area on three counts of assault with intent to murder.

One of the victims, 73-year-old Charles Coulson, is currently in critical condition at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Shirley Coulson, 75, is in stable condition at Lakeland Hospital. Cody Coulson, 31, declined medical treatment.

Sheriff Behnke is asking the public for help in locating Coons. Please do not attempt to apprehend Coons as he is considered armed and dangerous.
