NJ Transit service suspended at NYC Penn Station

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — NJ Transit service to and from Penn Station was suspended Friday morning due to problems with Amtrak’s overhead wires, officials said.

According to NJ Transit, Midtown Direct trains will be rerouted to Hoboken. Tickets and passes will be mutually accepted by NJ Transit, private buses and PATH at Newark Penn, Hoboken and 33rd Street, officials said.

The service interruption came a day after Amtrak suffered a power outage during rush hour Thursday evening that halted service.
