Houston news: Man shot dead at west Houston McDonald’s

HPD homicide detectives said there was some sort of argument before the victim was shot Saturday night.

HOUSTON — A man was shot and killed at a West Side McDonald’s over the weekend, according to Houston police.

It happened around 6 p.m. Saturday in the 8100 block of Katy Highway near Chimney Rock.

HPD Homicide Detective S. Chettrey said there had been some sort of argument before the shooting.

The victim, aged 46, was shot several times and died instantly. His name has not been released.

Police said the shooter fled in a blue Ford pickup truck from the early 2000s.

It is unclear whether the victim and the shooter knew each other.
