Lee Road and East Overlook Road

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – A police chase in Cleveland Heights ended in a serious accident.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday and ended when the vehicle being pursued by police crashed into a pole and subsequently caught fire near Lee Road and East Overlook Road.

Four people inside were taken into police custody and several were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance.

The police did not disclose what triggered the pursuit.
