Friendship man arrested for attempted burglary

LINCOLNVILLE, Maine (WABI) – A Friendship man was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of attempted burglary.

William Dean, 47, was caught trespassing at 36 Masalin Road in Lincolnville.

According to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, authorities arrived at the property around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Authorities found Dean on the second floor of the property’s garage.

However, efforts to call Dean out were unsuccessful, so they deployed K9 Dex to assist.

Officials confirmed that Dean had no rights to the property.

He is charged with burglary, violating probation conditions and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

He is being held in the Waldo County Jail.
