Woman attacked while walking her dog in Bellevue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two men were arrested after a woman was attacked with a fire extinguisher while walking her dog in Bellevue on Sunday.

The attack occurred around 5:15 p.m. near an apartment complex in the 600 block of Old Hickory Boulevard.


The victim told police that she was walking her dog when she was approached by three men, one of whom was holding a fire extinguisher, court documents state.

She said she told the men her dog was friendly and one of the men began spraying her and her dog with the fire extinguisher. The dog then ran away while the victim screamed, “Why did you do that?”

According to an arrest warrant, one of the men pushed her to the ground and began beating her before they all ran away with her cell phone and car keys.

Witnesses to the attack confronted the suspects and one of the suspects reportedly returned the victim’s phone to Good Samaritans.

Two of the suspects were soon spotted near the apartment complex. City police reported that officers found the victim’s car keys in a bag the suspects were carrying.

Queshon Demumbreum, 22, and Lamar Maddox, 18, were booked into Metro Jail and charged with aggravated robbery. Their bail was set at $100,000 each.
