Upon arrival at the eatery, tensions boiled over.

According to a CPD’s report, the two men “exchanged words,” leading to a physical act of aggression. The driver of the second vehicle allegedly threw his set of keys at the first driver’s passenger-side windshield, causing an estimated $100 in damage.

The second driver, who was also heading to Subway to drop off a significant other, reported being tailgated dangerously close by the first vehicle. The tailgating was so severe, he told police, that he “wasn’t able to see his headlights.”

When both arrived at the eatery, the confrontation continued.

During the altercation, the first driver allegedly threw a soda can at the second driver’s vehicle, damaging the passenger side. The estimated repair cost for the damage was approximately $580, the incident report noted.

Both men provided statements to the police, acknowledging their roles in the incident and the resulting damages. No charges were filed.
