Woman shot outside Shelby home, police say – WSOC TV

SHELBY, N.C. — Shelby police are investigating after a woman was shot outside a home Monday evening.

Around 7:45 p.m., police said they responded to the 600 block of Live Oak Street after receiving reports of a shooting.

At the scene, they found a woman lying in the front yard of the house with a gunshot wound.

Police said an initial investigation determined the victim was not involved in an argument before the shooting.

According to police, she was taken to an area hospital where she later died.

However, no arrests have been made so far.
