Two women suspected of double murder in Colorado are arrested by a SWAT team in Arizona

Two women wanted in connection with a Double murder In the Colorado case, arrests were made in northwest Arizona, authorities said Wednesday.

Mohave County sheriff’s officials said 43-year-old Toni Gurule and 42-year-old Suzzette Salyer remain in custody without bail awaiting extradition.

They said the women were arrested by a SWAT team on Saturday after a standoff at a home in Topock, a small community north of Lake Havasu City near the Arizona-California border.

Officials said chemical agents were used in the home, and Gurule left the house. After a second round of chemical agents was used, Salyer left the house.

Sheriff’s officials in Fremont County, Colorado, said Gurule and Salyer were among three people charged on April 30 with two counts each of first-degree murder and kidnapping, and warrants were issued for their arrests.

CBS Colorado reported that investigators obtained a court order to take DNA samples from the two suspects in 2022.

The charges relate to the deaths of 25-year-old Ryan Roth and 36-year-old Rodolfo Santillan-Reyes, authorities said.

The bodies of the two men were discovered in February 2022 in a ravine in Phantom Canyon about 40 miles southwest of Colorado Springs.

Colorado authorities said a third suspect in the case – a 45-year-old man – was arrested last month on murder charges while in federal custody in Englewood and also faced drug and weapons charges.
