Houston Food Bank prepares for summer meal program for children

Through this program, the Houston Food Bank hopes to serve approximately 12,000 meals per day. The nonprofit partners with local organizations to provide breakfasts, lunches and snacks to families of children in need.

Most meals include vegetables, proteins and grains for a warm meal. But they offer a cold meal throughout the week.

The program officially begins on June 10 and ends on August 9.
