Houston, 5-year-old dies after drowning in apartment complex

HOUSTON – A child died after drowning Saturday at a Houston-area apartment complex, officials report.

Houston police responded to 2828 Rogerdale Road around 8 p.m. after receiving reports that a 5-year-old child had drowned.

The child was taken to a hospital, where Houston police confirmed he later died.
