Franklinton police investigate fatal family dispute

Franklinton police are investigating a fatal domestic dispute that occurred Saturday morning. Police said they received a call about a domestic dispute at 528 Hilltop Avenue in Franklinton around 11 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. According to FPD, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene and two of the victims were flown by helicopter to a local hospital for further medical care. Officials said the initial investigation indicates the incident was a murder-suicide. The investigation is ongoing.
