Woman arrested in Pasco for allegedly distributing drugs had toddler in back seat of her car | News

PASCO, Washington – According to Pasco Police, a woman was arrested in Pasco on Monday, May 6, for having illegal drugs in her car.

According to PPD, officers were alerted to a woman sleeping in the driver’s seat of a car on West Court Street near the U-Haul warehouse. The report noted that there was an infant in the back seat.

The officers woke the woman up and discovered that she appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Officers also found drug paraphernalia in the driver’s door.

When asked for identification, PPD said she searched her purse several times, which contained drugs.

The toddler was removed from the car and brought to safety by Pasco Fire Department paramedics. The woman was interviewed by officers who later took her into custody.

A search warrant was executed and officers found packages containing hundreds of fentanyl pills, methamphetamine and cocaine. Scales, packaging and other items were also found that indicated the drugs were being sold.

In addition to the drugs in the woman’s purse, which she searched for her ID, a loaded handgun was also found. She was booked into the Franklin County Jail on a charge of distribution of controlled substances.

PPD says the child was safe and was removed from a “potentially dangerous situation.”
