Richmond woman charged in domestic stabbing | Police and courts

RICHMOND – A 58-year-old local woman is facing assault and other charges after police said she was involved in a stabbing at her home on Riverview Drive.

Beth A. Kores, of 17 Riverview Drive, was charged Friday evening with domestic violence with a dangerous weapon, domestic battery and violating a no-contact order. She was arraigned by a bail bondsman and transported to the Adult Correctional Facility in Cranston.

Kores was scheduled to appear in 4th Division District Court for a formal hearing on Monday.

Police charged Kores after an investigation into a 9-1-1 call reporting a stabbing. Police said a man who called from Kore’s home address reported that he had been stabbed in the shoulder.

An investigation revealed that during a domestic dispute, Kores allegedly used a knife available in the residence to stab the victim. The unidentified victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said, and Kores was taken into custody without further incident.
