*Update – Fourth suspect arrested* State Police arrest three suspects and two remain at large for string of burglaries in New Castle Count – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police arrested a 31-year-old man Andre Gershadof Wilmington, Delaware, on multiple felony charges in connection with a series of burglaries that have occurred throughout New Castle County over the past two months.

On May 16, 2024, Troop 2 detectives located Andre Gershad at a motel in New Castle and took him into custody without incident. Gershad was taken to Troop 2 where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace 11, and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $122,000 bail.

  • Burglary 3approx Degree (Crime) – 13 points
  • Wearing a disguise while committing a crime (felony) – 3 counts
  • Possession of Burglary Tools (Felony) – 6 counts
  • Burglary attempt 3approx conclusion (crime)
  • Theft $1,500 or more (felony) – 7 counts
  • Criminal Mischief $5,000 or More (Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Crime) – 11 points
  • Theft under $1,500 – 7 points
  • Criminal Mischief $1,000 but less than $5,000 – 2 points
  • Criminal mischief under $1,000 – 11 points

Investigators continue to seek help finding another co-conspirator, a 33-year-old Perignon Brooks (pictured below), who remains at large.
