Steve Buscemi carried out a “random” attack while walking in NYC

Steve Buscemi was reportedly punched in the face while walking on the street in New York City.

The actor was “attacked in Midtown Manhattan,” his publicist tells PEOPLE, calling the actor “another victim of a random act of violence in the city.”

The attack came about a month after a man attacked Buscemis Boardwalk Empire Co-star Michael Stuhlbarg with a rock in Manhattan on March 31st.

According to the NYPD, 27-year-old Xavier Israel was arrested following the attack after punching Stuhlbarg in the neck.
