Daycare worker arrested for pushing a 2-year-old boy headfirst into a table at a Bronx preschool

A childminder was arrested for repeatedly pushing a 2-year-old boy headfirst into a table at a Bronx preschool, police said.

Savitree Nerine, 49, a city education department employee, was charged Monday with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment, police said.

According to police, Nevine, a day care assistant at Little Stars Preschool on Edson Ave. near Edenwald Ave., got angry at the boy Monday morning and allegedly pushed him into a table several times.

Later that morning, someone reported the attack to police, and when officers reviewed the school’s camera footage, they saw the attack, officials said.
