One person arrested after stabbing on Augustine Street

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – A man was arrested following a stabbing Saturday on Augustine Street near Luckey Street.

Rochester police said they responded to a report of a stabbing on Augustine Street around 6:13 p.m. and found a person with a stab wound to the upper body.


According to police, two children were involved in a fight that led to an argument between two other adults. During the argument, a 19-year-old man allegedly stabbed another 34-year-old man in the upper body.

The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries and the other man was arrested at the scene.

Police said they also had to control an angry crowd that attempted to enter the scene several times. No other injuries were reported in this incident.
