Red Dead Redemption 2 had a big problem, and hopefully GTA VI is not doomed to repeat it.

As fantastic as Red Dead Redemption 2 That said, I don’t envy the players who get to play it over and over again.

Check out the first trailer for GTA VI below

After an initial playthrough of taking your time, finishing the story, completing all the side missions, and searching the map for secrets and goodies, the last thing you probably want to do is start the whole thing over again all purely for reasons of length of the game’s story mode.

Fortunately, Rockstar Games is believed to have addressed this little criticism, as they say GTA VI’s Story mode will be significantly shorter, so hopefully we’ll have more time to see the sights and do some exploring instead.

YouTuber LegacyKillaHD is the one who made the claim that the game will be shorter than Red Dead Redemption 2but still longer than GTA V.

For reference, Red Dead Redemption 2 The main story takes approximately 50 hours to complete GTA V takes 32 hours according to HowLongToBeat.

This may be a place GTA VI in the 35-40 hour range, a reasonable length for a single-player game, not to mention any side stories or activities that will be available in the game’s open world, as well as general messing around.

Of course, as always, Rockstar Games has commented on the length of the game and hasn’t even shown official gameplay yet, although it’s expected that a second trailer will be released soon.

With that in mind, the rumor should be treated with caution, but it wouldn’t be the worst news in the world if it turned out to be true.

GTA VI is reportedly still on track to meet its 2025 release date, although it’s unclear exactly when we can expect it to release.
