Convicted felon arrested for allegedly voting illegally in Miami-Dade – NBC 6 South Florida

A convicted felon who allegedly voted illegally multiple times in Miami-Dade has been arrested.

According to Miami-Dade jail records, Victor Marshall Nash, 52, was arrested Thursday for voting twice as an ineligible voter.

According to an arrest warrant, Nash was arrested in 2000 for sexual abuse by force with a weapon and kidnapping with a weapon.

He pleaded guilty and was found guilty of sexual abuse without serious injury. He was sentenced to one year of community service, followed by four years of probation, and lost his right to vote, the warrant said.

In 2018, Nash filled out a voter application and affirmed: “I certify that I am not a convicted felon or, if so, that my right to vote has been reinstated,” the arrest warrant states.

He obtained a voter ID and voted in the August 2018 primary and the November 2018 general election. He then voted three times in 2020, in the presidential primary, the primary and the general election, the arrest warrant states.

In 2022, Nash voted in the primary and general election, but his provisional ballot was not counted, the warrant says.

In February 2023, Nash was arrested for violating sex offender registration requirements and sentenced to six months probation.

Later in 2023, the state’s Office of Executive Clemency provided a letter confirming that there was no record of Nash’s right to vote being restored, the warrant states.

Nash was taken to jail where his bail was set at $2,500. Attorney information was not available.
