Traffic Alert: Road closures for the Fun Fest Parade | WJHL

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – The City of Kingsport announced Thursday that several downtown streets will be temporarily closed Friday for the Fun Fest parade.

The parade will begin on Clinchfield Street (next to the Kingsport Center for Higher Education), continue to Center Street, then to Sullivan Street and back to Clinchfield Street, the city said in a news release.

Clinchfield will be closed from Market Street to Clay Street starting at 10:00 a.m. Friday for parade formation.

Side streets leading to Center Street between Clinchfield and Sullivan will be closed at 4 p.m. Friday. Center and Clinchfield Streets will be closed 30 minutes before the parade begins at 6 p.m.

According to the city, detour signs will be put in place and all closures will be lifted when the parade ends.
