This week marks seven months since the Bernalillo County District Attorney dismissed the first round of hundreds of drunken driving cases.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — This week marks seven months since the Bernalillo County District Attorney dismissed the first round of hundreds of drunken driving cases.

This led to news of a federal investigation into the Albuquerque Police Department unit. This came shortly after the FBI raided the homes of several APD officers.

As a result, nine officers were placed on leave – without charges being filed. The DWI unit is also back in action after being disbanded.

So what happens to the unit now? Giuli Frendak sat down with APD chief Harold Medina to talk about it.
