Police search for missing 82-year-old man; last seen in south Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 82-year-old man.

According to CMPD, 82-year-old Elijah McCarthy was last seen at Nordstrom Rack in the 9500 block of South Boulevard around 2 p.m. on July 14.

McCarthy was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and tan pants. He was driving a white 2021 Nissan Sentra with Connecticut license plate 9AKVFO.

According to official information, he is suffering from early dementia.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
