Cooling will come over the next week

LINKED TO LINKS TO. I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE WEATHER ALERT WE’RE MONITORING FOR TOMORROW AND MONDAY. HIGHS WILL BE HOTTER. YOU’LL NOTICE A DIFFERENCE TODAY. THIS IS ACTUALLY MORE TYPICAL HEAT FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. HIGHS IN THE 90S. HEAT INDEX WILL RISE TO NEAR 100 TOMORROW. HIGHS WILL BE HOTTER ON MONDAY. MID TO UPPER 90S. IN SOME LOCATIONS HUMIDITY COULD REACH 100 DEGREES, OUR HEAT INDEX READINGS WILL BE 105 DEGREES TO 110 DEGREES. SO THAT’S REALLY THAT DANGEROUS LEVEL. SO YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER YOUR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IN THE AFTERNOON. MAYBE TRY DOING THOSE EARLIER IN THE DAY OR IN THE EVENING. THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AND EVEN OVERNIGHT. WE’RE NOT COOLING DOWN TOO MUCH AS WELL, MID TO UPPER 70S. SO WE’RE STAYING PRETTY WARM IN OUR NIGHTTIME HOURS. SO IF YOU HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS OR FRIENDS WHO HAVE HEATING ISSUES, THEN YOU WILL NOT HAVE ADEQUATE COOLING IN YOUR HOME. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ON THEM, MAKE SURE THEY’RE OK AND STAY COOL RIGHT NOW. WHEN WE LOOK WEST, WE HAVE THIS HASY SUNSHINE. WE’RE AT 32 DEGREES. WITH THAT HEAT INDEX, IT FEELS MORE LIKE 35 DEGREES. 32 DEGREES IS OUR TEMPERATURE FOR LIBERTY AND LEAVENWORTH, 32 DEGREES FOR OLATHE, 32 DEGREES IN LEE’S SUMMIT WITH THE HUMIDITY. AND IF WE EXCLUDE THAT FROM THE TEMPERATURES HERE, IT FEELS MORE LIKE MID OR UPPER 35 DEGREES. SOME PLACES LIKE LEAVENWORTH AND LAWRENCE, RIGHT AT CENTURY MARK, FEELS LIKE 102 FOR SAINT JOSEPH. SO DEFINITELY UNCOMFORTABLE. AGAIN, TAKE IT EASY WITH THE HEAT OUT THERE. WE HAVE SOME CLOUDS MOVE IN FROM THE NORTHWEST. EVEN A FEW LITTLE DRIZZLES TOWARDS MANHATTAN, KANSAS. PART OF A WEAK DISTURBANCE THAT’S MOVED IN OUR DIRECTION AND COULD ACTUALLY BRING US A FEW SHOTS OF RAIN OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. BUT FOR MANY OF US IT’S STAYING DRY FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING. IT’S MOSTLY CLEAR, ABOVE 80S, ONLY COOLING DOWN TO THE MID 80S, SO IT’S WARM. IT’S HUMID, A LITTLE WINDY, AND THEN FOR TONIGHT, INTO YOUR SUNDAY MORNING, I MENTIONED THAT SMALL DISTURBANCE IS MOVING FURTHER TO THE EAST. AND IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING, AROUND 4 OR 5 AM, WE COULD JUST HAVE A FEW VERY SMALL LIGHT SHOWERS. THEY’LL CLEAR UP BY ABOUT 8 OR 9 AM TOMORROW. AND THEN IT’S JUST GOING TO BE WARMER. SO WE’LL BE AT 91 DEGREES BY NOON. WE’LL HAVE MORE OF THOSE CLEAR SKIES, JUST LIKE WE’RE SEEING RIGHT NOW. HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL BE 100 BY NOON, AND IN THE AFTERNOON THEY WILL RISE TO 105 TO 110. ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURES WILL BE 35-35 GR. AND AGAIN, THAT’S WHY WE HAVE THIS WEATHER ALERT FOR YOU TOMORROW AFTERNOON. HERE ARE THE FORECAST HIGHS. SO KEEP THAT IN MIND IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS TOMORROW. EVEN IF YOU GO TO THE POOL OR THE LAKES, HEAT INDEX WILL BE 35-35 GR. JUST COPY AND PASTE FROM MONDAY SO THE WEATHER ALERT WILL BE SET FOR YOUR MONDAY TUESDAY YOU MAY SEE SOME SPOTATED RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS LATE IN THE EVENING THEY COULD CONTINUE UNTIL EARLY WEDNESDAY AND THEN LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURES WE WILL ACTUALLY BE BELOW NORMAL HIGHS WILL BE IN THE LOWER 80S FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR
