Updated: 9 hours ago

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Generally sunny skies and a light breeze from the north made for another pleasant July afternoon in the Omaha metropolitan area. Temperatures climbed back up to above 28 degrees, just below the average high of 30 degrees for mid-July. A few clouds rolled in during the warmth of the afternoon, but they should clear up during the late evening. Temperatures above 28 degrees will drop back down to above 21 degrees by 10 p.m. There is also a bit of haze in the air due to smoke from wildfires in Canada that have moved into our area. This shouldn’t have a major impact on our air quality, but you will notice this haze into Wednesday.
