Collector suspends Panchayat Secretary over poor sanitation conditions in Sitanagaram

East Godavari District Collector P. Prasanthi on Saturday suspended Sitanagaram Gram Panchayat Secretary Ch. Naga Sateesh for poor maintenance of sanitation facilities in the wake of the recent outbreak of water-borne diseases.

On Friday, Ms. Prasanthi inspected the sanitation conditions in the Sitanagaram Gram Panchayat. The Panchayat Raj authorities have been instructed to monitor sanitation conditions in villages during the monsoon to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases.
