Man shot in the passageway of an apartment, police said

DALLAS – Dallas police are searching for a suspect who shot a man in the hallway of an apartment complex.

Shortly before midnight on July 4, police responded to a request from Dallas Fire-Rescue and went to the apartments on the northbound access road to the Marvin D. Love Freeway.

When officers arrived, they discovered 51-year-old Tyrer Pearson shot dead in the hallway of the apartment.

Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dallas police are investigating.
