*Update – Second suspect arrested* State Police detectives search for second suspect in Seaford shooting – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police have arrested an 18-year-old Tyler Morrison of Delmar, Delaware, for a shooting that occurred in Seaford in May.

On May 29, 2024, at approximately 6:21 p.m., detectives responded to a home in the 26000 block of Kelly Circle in Seaford for a report of a shooting. When detectives arrived, they learned that two unknown suspects fired multiple shots into an occupied home, injuring a 15-year-old girl. Through investigative techniques, detectives identified Lukas and Tyler Morrison as the suspects in the shooting. On May 31, 2024, detectives arrested Lukas and continued their search for Tyler.

On July 3, 2024, Tyler Morrison was arrested and transported to Squad 5 where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace of Court 2, and remanded to Sussex Correctional Institution on $131,500 cash bail.

  • Attack 1st Degree (Crime)
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (felony)
  • Possession of a firearm by a person prohibited (crime)
  • Reckless endangerment 1st Serious crime – 7 counts
  • Wearing a disguise while committing a crime (crime)
  • Conspiracy 2and Degree (Crime)
  • Damage to property – 2 counts
