New York State Police Investigate Fatal ATV Crash in Alma

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An ATV crash in Alma left one person dead and another injured Thursday night, according to New York State Police.

on July 4, Jesse Bestine, 26, and Zachary Barnett, 25, both of Wellsville, were driving east on County Road 38 when they swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle, causing the ATV to flip multiple times, police said.

Barnett died at the scene. Bestine was transported to Strong Hospital in Rochester from Jones Memorial with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
