Man armed with knife arrested for chasing children through Shaw parking lot in Maine – NECN

A man faces multiple charges after police say he chased children with a knife through the parking lot of a Shaw’s grocery store in Portland, Maine, on Tuesday night.

Portland police said they responded to multiple reports at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday of a man with a knife chasing children through the Shaw’s parking lot on Auburn Avenue. They said Shaw’s employees placed the children inside the store and locked the doors to keep them safe until police arrived.

Upon arrival, officers took 54-year-old Curtis Crawford, who is homeless, into custody. He was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and trespassing.
