Floyd County prison guard attacked in gang brawl, perpetrator arrested

Brandon Andrew Hunt, 31, of Clarksville, Tennessee, was arrested in Rome after reportedly being involved in the assault and robbery of a Floyd County jail guard.

Hunt was reportedly filmed with at least three other assailants during the attack. Authorities added that the officer was knocked to the ground and then dragged to another area of ​​the prison. Hunt kicked and stomped on the officer during the September 2023 attack.

Hunt is accused of aggravated assault, confinement in a correctional facility and unauthorized participation in street gang activities.
