Houston Texans Training Camp Location, Dates and Facts

Training camp is a time of year when NFL players finally get back into shape. While many players show up to offseason workouts and focus on these things on their own, training camp is about more than just your fitness. It’s that time of year when you move from strength and endurance exercises to preparing your body for the real wear and tear of an NFL season.

This is where you start running drills, full skill-based drills and of course the all-important 7v7 and 11v11 drills that build a player’s abilities. When you miss this moment, you start the season on a bad note and often play catch-up for the rest of the season. Just watch Juice Scruggs if you need to see how important training camp is to a player. He missed time in 2023 due to injury and when he was cleared, he looked a step behind every other player.

It’s vitally important that players participate in training camp, but what makes practice so important is that it’s truly the first time fans can be involved. It is customary in the NFL for fans to visit training camp on certain days throughout its duration. Not every day is open to fans, but some days are.

If you would like to attend training camp, you can do so at the Houston Methodist Training Center, 8799 Kirby Drive. This is where the Texans will practice when they are in the area.

There are eight practices in total that fans can attend and they are free for fans. That said, tickets are limited and must be claimed through Ticketmaster. They are available now to claim.
