Convoy of President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum involved in traffic accident, one person dies

A 94-year-old woman died this Friday in an accident between a vehicle in the convoy accompanying Claudia Sheinbaum and another car in the state of Coahuila, according to the mayor of Monclova, where the accident occurred.

A van carrying Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum’s advance party had a traffic accident in Monclova Coahuila in which several people were injured.

When she learned of the accident, she stopped to inquire about the condition of people who were already being treated by city and state emergency teams.

In a statement, President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum said: “We deeply regret that a person in the other vehicle died.”
