Hyderabad | Middle school student killed in road accident

A first-year student died in a road accident when she was thrown under the front wheel of a moving TGSRTC bus at Yousufguda in Hyderabad on Friday afternoon. The girl was trying to get off the RTC bus, which was turning at a junction, and fell under the vehicle. She died on the spot.

Officials said that the student, identified as Mehereen, was on her way home when she tried to get off the bus. “The bus driver slowed down to let her get off and kept accelerating. The bus stopped after the rear wheels crushed her and onlookers gathered to check on her,” police said. A case has been registered under Section 304-A (death by negligence) of the IPC and an investigation has been initiated.
